Biotic BFF Herbal Tincture
Our Biotic BFF was formulated to support your body alongside taking an antibiotic. Antibiotics are broad spectrum, meaning they kill good bacteria in addition to pathogenic bacteria. This can disrupt the gut microbiome, so ingesting probiotic-rich herbs and foods are a way to increase the number of “good” bacteria in your gut, which can help offset the damage caused by antibiotics, in a whole food non-synthetic supplemental way. Because yeast infections occur when the natural bacteria in your body becomes unbalanced, probiotics can help restore this balance as well.
Herbs like dandelion root have a large amount of inulin. Inulin is a prebiotic, pre before the pro, which means it is basically food for the probiotics in your gut. The good bacteria will eat the inulin in the dandelion root and it will help them grow. Burdock root is rich in inulin as well, but was thoughtfully added to this blend for its balancing bacteria and pH level properties. It is known to help good bacteria grow in the gut and vagina, indirectly keeping pH balance and discharge healthy. Liquorice root has a significant fructan level to provide good resistance of probiotic bacteria to acidity/alkalinity gradient. Its flavonoids compound have also shown to help inhibit growth of potentially harmful intestinal bacteria.
There is nothing like our tinctures on the market. All Wild & Well tinctures are made completely alcohol free, rendering them safe for children and those avoiding alcohol-based products. Instead, we use a certified organic vegetable glycerin that is derived from coconuts, ensuring it is free of palm oil, hexane, fragrance, GMOs and soy, too! It also adds another layer of hydration and moisturizing to skin and hair to our already power packed herbal blends. The simpler the better. This concentrated combination allows for extraction of a wider range of plant properties and easy absorption of healing plant compounds into the bloodstream.
